Preston based charity, Sutty’s Shooting Stars, hosted a masquerade ball at Barton Grange Hotel. Almost £3,500 was raised and it will go towards giving young people a chance to shine and supporting sporting and physical activity initiatives. The charity was formed in 2000, in memory of 23-year-old local sports fan, Carl James Sutton, who died in an accident.

Cath Sutton, his mother, said: ‘We had a really fun night, it was filled with mixed emotions. We played a video of Carl from his 21st coming home party from Bosnia. It felt like Carl was alongside us singing and dancing.’
