The brand new Truro Food Festival will take place on Lemon Quay on the weekend of 27 – 29 September 2019

The ILOW team, who currently operate the Porthleven and St Ives Food Festivals, are excited about bringing a new city-based foodie event to Cornwall.

Managing Director Lee Bater said: “This will be a city-wide celebration of Cornish food and drink. We’ll be creating a vibrant programme of daytime events as well as music evenings on Lemon Quay. But we’ll also be reaching out beyond that base location with things like a restaurant walking trail and other pop-up events around the city. We’d love to hear from local restaurants who’d like to be involved or anyone with content ideas and they can get in touch via the website.”

Daytime content will include Chef’s demos, gourmet street food stalls, a local produce market and live entertainment. The evening content will include a beer and cider festival and live music. And the Truro Food Festival will officially be opened with a charity benefit gig with all profits donated to the Trussell Trust, a charity that aims to end hunger and poverty in the UK.

The Trust support a nationwide network of food banks to provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty. They also campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
