The Northern Design Awards bring together designers, retailers and property developers in a glittering celebration of Northern design and style.
A glittering celebration of Northern architecture, interior design and craftsmanship takes place on again in November.
With accolades being awarded to leading architects, designers, retailers and trade, the shortlisted businesses are a veritable ‘who’s who’ of the North’s thriving design industry.
In 2011, 250 celebrities and special guests from all walks of the Northern design scene enjoyed a five star evening of fine cuisine, celebration and entertainment in the city of Manchester at the five star Lowry Hotel & Spa. Due to the ever rising popularity of the event and the increase of categories we are delighted to announce that the 2012 Northern Design Awards will be held at Manchester Central, previously the GMEX, in the heart of the city.
Guests will enjoy a fabulous gala dinner within the Charter Halls suites, followed by award presentations from our judges and special celebrity guests and enjoy live entertainment.
The judging for the Northern Design Awards has historically been down to a respected panel of expert judges in their fields. Last year the panel comprised of Sir Terence Conran, Diarmuid Gavin, Jan Constantine, Geoff Alsop (RIBA Chairman) for architecture, Wayne Hemingway, Nick Munro and LIVINGETC Editor Suzanne Imre. George Clark of Channel 4 joins our architecture judging panel for 2012 after successfully hosting proceedings at the 2011 event.
