The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village at Wrea Green, near Blackpool, offers the ultimate in pampering breaks

The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village is fabulous. It offers beauty and well-being treatments in luxurious surroundings with lovely overnight accommodation and an exceptional restaurant. It really is rather special.
In fact, I shouldn’t address this review simply to the ladies. Females account for most of the people schlepping around the Spa areas in a Zen-like state of calm, but there are plenty of treatments for men and they are sure to enjoy it; there are packages for couples too.
In fact, I’m not the only one who’s seriously impressed by Ribby Hall. They heard recently they had retained their five bubbles rating from the Good Spa Guide.
The Spa Hotel was also awarded 4 AA Stars and the Brasserie awarded 2 AA Rosettes and a recommendation in the Michelin Guide. The Good Spa Guide is an independent, rigorous review process which looks at every aspect of a spa and Ribby Hall was awarded their highest accolade - 5-bubbles.
My colleague and I were pleased that the spa and hotel are adult-only and this certainly adds to the relaxing experience - no young teens getting silly here.
The beauty products used are tip-top like Elemis, Neom, Dermalogica, Opi and Jane Iredale. I enjoyed the blissful Elemis Frangipani Body Nourish Wrap on Dry Float.
After a full massage in a darkened room with scented oils and lots of soothing stroking, I was cocooned in a warm wrap with a heated base which then expanded around me, warming and enhancing the nourishing effect of the treatment. My only complaint is that this was over far too soon!
I then relaxed in a separate conservatory style area, gazing out on the pastoral scenery in the semi-distance and a hot tub in the foreground. I was far too chilled out to think about making the effort to walk ten feet to get into the bubbling tub.
I loved the spa’s sense of space and natural light. The staff were great and the restaurant would impress any discerning diner. In fact, a restaurant manager told me he recently chose to leave another very highly regarded hotel to take up his role at Ribby Hall.
