This month Richard Dash and Jamie Carter bring us great news on how to achieve your ‘try something new’ New Year's resolution

New Year, New Openings!

Some people find January one of the most difficult times of the year - we can see why, but as local business owners we find January to be one of the most exciting times. It’s time for a new chapter of your journey – and maybe setting some related New Year’s resolutions. New business goals? New travel destinations? Trying something new? Starting something you’ve been putting off? Whatever it is you’re jumping into this January, you’re not alone. Here are two business owners starting something new in 2023.

What’s Your Beef?

No, seriously! What’s Your Beef Burgers are charging over the Cheshire border in 2023. Manchester-bred (just like their locally sourced beef) Neil and Eddie are the owners of this powerhouse pop-up business.

Having been in business for over eight years, it’s safe to say they know a thing or two about good meat. We’re lucky enough to work with this business on a regular basis so we can safely say they bring the fun and they bring the good stuff. Right now you can get your jaws around the Double Bacon Burger in Sale and Stretford Food Halls, or devour a dog at the newly opened Calcio, a retro sports and gaming bar in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

Excitingly, this delicious duo are planning to open in Cheshire in the first quarter of 2023. We can’t disclose their new location just yet, but believe me, we’ll be shouting about it on our social media when they do so make sure you’re following @lostincheshire!

What’s growing in The Grove

Independent restauranteurs and business owners Ash and George are building up quite the portfolio in Wilmslow and now have their hearts set on helping you in 2023. Ash and George are the owners of Wilmslow’s tavern, The Grove, a whimsical enchanted forest situated right in the middle of bustling Wilmslow.

Having not only survived the Covid storm, but thrived their way through 2022, the boys would like to give back to the community and to business owners with their eyes set on achieving their own heights in 2023. How? They’re opening their kitchen for takeovers. That’s right. If you’re a new business owner who wants to take that next step and manage a kitchen for a pop up, then pop this way…

This is not limited to new businesses - existing business owners who want to try their concept on a ready and waiting market will be able to get involved too. Who knows, you may even see our afore-mentioned delicious duo there soon…
