Cheltenham-based communications agency, Target is celebrating its 40th anniversary by launching a competition to help young SMEs

Any newly established business needs help and support to ensure growth in the crucial early years so Target has put together a package of business services that will help do this. If your business is less than five years old, has fewer than 20 employees and is within a 50 mile radius of Cheltenham, you’re eligible to enter.

The prize will be made up of three elements; a communications strategy planning workshop provided by Target, a financial review carried out by Adam Newman from Newman Langley Financial Consulting and a business systems and bookkeeping health check from Kim Aiken at Pink Lime Business Services. To enter, you will need to say why, in 200 words or less you think your business deserves the prize, which has an estimated value of £3,000 in specialist support.

“We’re very proud Target has stood the test of time and is celebrating such a milestone birthday,” said Target’s Chief Executive, Sarah Bryars. “While we might be marking our longevity, we wanted to give something back to those just starting out and who represent the future of our region’s business community.

“For any young business, a clear communications strategy and financial stability are hugely important, so the prize will provide great value. Our communications workshop is something many of our clients find helpful, focusing attention on their most critical business challenges, the people they need to reach and the messages that will be most compelling.

“We provide strategic counsel and hands-on help to businesses of all sizes and many sectors, from specialist media to mainstream news, social media or creative copywriting. Above all we know that having a great team of advisers around you makes a world of difference.”
