Sculpture by the Lakes is delighted to announce dates for their horticultural extravaganza - All Around the Garden taking place 28 - 29 June

All Around the Garden is two days devoted to everything for the garden from vegetable growing, to learning about Kew's trees, to plant-hunting adventures around the world.

Show & Tell - Andrew Wilson

28th June at 11am

Andrew Wilson is one of the UK's most successful garden designers with many award-winning gardens under his belt and medals at RHS Chelsea, Hampton Court Flower Show and from the Singapore Garden Festival. He has over 30 years experience as a designer, show garden judge, lecturer, author and writer. Show & Tell will give us an unrivalled opportunity to glimpse behind the scenes and view the process behind his work in both private gardens, and those created for RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Plant Hunting Around the World - Nick Macer

28th June at 2pm

Nick is a modern-day plant hunter, combing far-flung corners of the globe to discover new varieties and bring back seed and plant material to grow on and sell from his Gloucestershire nursery, Pan-Global Plants. His exploits in such diverse locations as Mexico, Chile, Azerbaijan and Vietnam are fascinating and sometimes hair-raising!

The Organic Gardening Experience - Chris Collins

28th June at 3.30pm

TV and organic gardener Chris Collins reveals the many tips and tricks from his own organic gardening experiences about growing the natural way, working alongside nature and using natural assets as opposed to artificial chemicals. A professional gardener since the mid-80s, Chris has presented TV series such as Digging for Victory, is resident Blue Peter gardener, working closely with schools and the RHS encouraging children to learn about gardening, appears regularly on This Morning and BBC Breakfast and is head of horticulture at Garden Organic.

My Passion for Trees - Tony Kirkham

29th June at 11am

Tony has been the guiding hand behind the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew for over 40 years. He presents today a beautifully illustrated talk about the many trees that he has met around the world and which have been an incredible influence on his life and work at Kew. Head of the Arboretum, Gardens and Horticultural Services, Tony is responsible for the management and curation of the 14,000 trees in the collections at Kew and Wakehurst Place in Sussex and is a world authority on all things dendrological. His talk is not to be missed! Tickets £5 per person.

Brilliant & Wild - Lucy Bellamy

29th June at 2pm

Lucy is editor of the much-loved and acclaimed gardening magazine Garden's Illustrated. Lucy's book Brilliant & Wild: a garden from scratch in a year offers a practical guide to making a blooming, bee-filled garden in a small space that's up and off in less than 12 months with just a spade, a few good ideas and the alchemy of nature!
