The beautiful Wivenhoe House has been closed for almost two months, with not a guest in sight
Although their doors have been closed, the team at the hotel have been busy behind the scenes thinking of new, innovative ways they can re-open when it is safe to do so and operate in a way which keeps guests and staff as safe as possible.
Some ideas for re-opening, include:
Alfresco dining – Outside dining in the summer, with distanced tables will be a great way to enjoy your meal in safety, whilst surrounded by stunning views and parkland.
Takeaway options – They are currently planning a full takeaway operation, which they are very excited to share with you all soon. This may include fresh stone baked pizzas, three-course gourmet meals to make at home, and their famous afternoon teas delivered to your doorstep.
Weddings - They are happy to announce that they are now offering private, social distanced viewings of this beautiful country house venue.

All of the above will come with COVID-19 safety measures in place and prior to re-opening staff will go through a training process, re-induction and briefing on how to deliver exceptional service during this exceptional time.
They will also increase sanitising stations and have social distanced markers throughout the hotel to help people remain two metres apart at all times.
