Work has begun on an extensive schedule of refurbishment and development at Festival Leisure Park in Basildon

The 27,000sq m park, which includes popular attractions such as Cineworld Cinemas, Hollywood Bowl and 360 Play alongside an array of restaurants, will see phases of development to minimise disruption, with everything planned for completion by this autumn.

The work will update the facias of existing buildings, including the removal of external canopies, plus the creation of a new, larger outside event area which will include public seating and new flooring.

Matthew Chambers, centre manager of Festival Leisure Park, said: ‘At Festival Leisure Park we’re always striving to ensure we offer the best possible facilities and settings to our loyal customers.

‘The park will remain open and business will be as usual for all of our visitors.’
