We have selected some of the highlights from this year’s unmissable Royal Norfolk Show
Royal watchers will be thrilled to see Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex at the first day of the show as she fulfils a series of engagements as part of her role as this year's President.
The hugely popular Musical Ride of the Household Cavalry returns to the Grand Ring, while the spectacular RAF Falcons parachute display team will be dropping in and, to mark the NFU's centenary, there will be a pageant portraying farming's progress since 1919.
New to the ring is a parade of Rolls Royces from as far back as 1898. Competition will be hot too - the enormously popular Horse of the Year Show qualifiers will bring out top-level showjumpers and the impressive Grand Parade, featuring each day's livestock champions, will provide a traditional spectacle.
Other highlights include an even bigger horticultural area packed with gardeners, chefs and local producers, including Michael Perry, Mr Plant Geek and Ade Sellars of Agents of Field. Showgoers will also be able to marvel at massive farming machinery and hi-tech equipment and meet rare breeds of sheep, cattle, pigs and poultry.
The very best of Norfolk produce will feature in the Adnams Food and Drink Experience and Flavours Food Hub where visitors will have the opportunity to discover, taste and sample a huge range of products.
Live music will offer the perfect soundtrack at the Royal Norfolk Show. Building on last year's successful mid-summer evening programme, the show will again stay open later. Visitors can enjoy the show, stands and the food and drink hall and then join the party at a new mini-festival with live music on Wednesday evening.
James Hill, the new show director, is looking forward to his first show and said: "This year will see a wonderful mix of food, farming and countryside with another impressive Grand Ring and entertainment line-up. Once again, we will celebrate the very best the county has to offer, from showcasing the best in agriculture in our community, to welcoming some of the finest animals, competitors, farmers, musicians, horticulturalists, producers and artists from across the county."

An advance two-day adult ticket is £34, a saving of £18 against two single adult tickets at the gate for each day.
An advance one-day adult ticket is £22, a child's advance one-day ticket (aged 5-16) is £8 (under 5's free) and an advance family ticket (2 adults and 3 children aged 5-16) is £49. Concessions are also available.
