Dogs can now be taken on a popular walking route in north Norfolk as part of a new trial.
Friary Hills is run by the National Trust and while historically it has been a place for families to enjoy, dogs were not allowed until now.
In a sign erected on the route, the National Trust said: "This year we are running a trial to allow dogs, so that visitors can walk between Blakeney and Wiveton Café using a circular route along the sea wall to avoid the road.

"To avoid any disturbance to wildlife or livestock, and to keep the area enjoyable for all, please keep your dog on a lead and clear up after them."

Wiveton Hall and Café expressed their delight at the news on social media and wrote: "Great news! You can now walk with your dogs, well-behaved and on a lead, along the National Trust path between Wiveton Hall and Blakeney.
"The path leaves Wiveton Hall close to the café and comes out at the Manor Hotel, Blakeney.
"Come for breakfast or morning coffee, park up, take a lovely walk and have a wander around Blakeney, then back to the cafe for lunch. Perfect!"
The post has had hundreds of comments, with dog owners expressing their excitement to take their four-legged-friend on Friary Hills.
