The Lancashire Life Food and Drink Awards welcomes a Manchester singing talent
It’s a night that takes months of planning. When you’re serving up to a room full of the county’s best chefs and hospitality greats the food at Lancashire Life’s Food and Drink Awards must be perfect. Then there’s the service, the décor and the atmosphere to get right too.
Helping with the latter will be talented Kirsty Tattler. The Manchester-based jazz singer, who sings solo, as part of a duo and with her own band, will be entertaining nominees, judges and invited guests at the prestigious evening at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa, Blackburn, in October.
The former Royal Northern College of Music student, who grew up in Southport, has been singing and playing piano since she was four years old. She has spent all of her formative years dedicated to building a career as a singer.
The 27-year-old is relishing the opportunity to perform at such an important event.
‘I’m really looking forward to it, it’s exciting,’ said Kirsty, who performs at events around the country. ‘I absolutely adore singing because I love seeing and meeting people and being able to share occasions and celebrations with people.
‘To be able to sing and experience and celebrate at the food and drink awards will be a lot of fun. I’m really happy to be involved.’
The Lancashire Life Food and Drink Awards are always a very special occasion and no more so than in the 21st year of the awards and 70th anniversary of the magazine. The very best in the hospitality and food industry will gather for an evening of drinks and dining excellence.
The elegant black tie presentation night on Monday, October 16th, celebrates the expertise of hoteliers, chefs, restaurateurs, pub landlords, food producers and their staff. And our judges are already putting likely contenders under scrutiny.
The panel of judges, chaired by Lancashire Life editor Roger Borrell, are busy drawing up a shortlist based on readers’ nominations as well as their own knowledge and expertise. They then visit each establishment incognito before contenders are revealed in a future issue.
Tickets are now available for the event on Monday 16th October at The Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa for a fabulous evening of food and drink.
