The latest thing we’re excited about here at Reidys is the new Yamaha Tyros 5 workstation keyboard. The Tyros keyboards has always pushed the boundaries of technology and this new addition is no exception.

Firstly, the Tyros 5 is now available as both a 61 and 76 key unit, something that is unique to this new model and features a new fingering mode that will be of huge benefit to piano players. The extra octave means that not only do you have more range but is particularly useful when using the keyboard as a 3 manual organ.

The Tyros 5 houses all of the great sounds that made its predecessor so popular, plus 300 completely new sounds and 539 new styles making it attractive to those who may want to upgrade from one of their older Tyros keyboards. Not only this, but the upright piano voicing is sampled from a Yamaha U1 acoustic piano, as features in the Clavinova range. Voices in the new Tyros have been sampled from real musicians playing real instruments, for example; the drum sounds have been sampled from real drums in a live studio, offering players authentic and realistic instrument modeling.

The guitar sampling features on the Tyros 5 are particularly impressive, with options to run through a variety of popular amplifiers and effects. These range from classic 60s guitar sounds to more modern, distorted sounds. You can shape your sound even more with an on-board equaliser. The quality and range of sounds that this workstation has to offer means that whatever style of music you want to play will be catered for.

The new Tyros 5 is now in the Yamaha Homeworld section of our store, so please feel free to drop by and check it out as well as our huge range of digital pianos and keyboards. It’s also worth noting that every digital piano in the Yamaha Clavinova range range comes with free home installation, and a range of pay-monthly finance options. As with everything else, we carry a wide range of instruments in stock so whether you’re looking for your first keyboard to start playing on, or a digital grand piano with a truly authentic sound and feel, we can cater for your needs. For any more help or information, just pop in store or contact us via phone or e-mail.
