Yorkshire’s finest food producers, restaurants and chefs were recognised at the ninth Flavours of Herriot Country Awards at the Garden Rooms, Tennants, Leyburn.

From best breakfast to brewed beer, the awards recognised the skill and dedication of small producers across Yorkshire. The awards were presented by BBC York's Elly Fiorentini and attended by Rosie Page, daughter of Alf Wight, author of the James Herriot stories.

As well as the 12 award categories, a special recognition award went to Shepherd's Purse Cheeses, and its founder Judy Bell for creating an internationally recognised cheese brand from a business started on the kitchen table of the Bell's farm near Thirsk.
