Now in its 18th year supporting Barnardo’s, the event transported more than 700 guests to a seasonal extravaganza in the marquee attached to the hotel.
One of the biggest charity events in the region's calendar took place at Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate and Yorkshire dug deep - with more than £310,000 raised for Barnardo's, taking the total raised, since the first Firecracker Ball for Barnardo's in 2002, to £3,127,000.
All funds raised on the night will be donated to Barnardo's in Yorkshire, who each year help almost 14,000 children, young people and their families in over 80 specialised projects in local communities. Phil Taylor, Barnardo's vice president, is stepping down as chair of the Firecracker Ball committee after 20 years and will hand over the baton to Mark J Nelson.
