It was a night where industry innovators and gamechangers joined forces with famous faces from the foodie world to find out the best dining places and people at the Yorkshire Life Food & Drink Awards.

Held at The Principal Hotel in York, more than 200 guests cheered on and celebrated the leading culinary lights of the county's dining scene.

The evening began with canapes and cocktails from Yorkshire's Slingsby Gin before moving into the main event suite for a three course dinner prepared by the skilled kitchen team at the York hotel.

A total of 14 awards were annouced to rapturous applause, not least for Josh Overington from Le Cochon Aveugle, who picked up the coveted Chef of the Year Award.

The event also raised £2,931 for FareShare Yorkshire, our chosen charity.
