After all the excitement of the Tour de France in Yorkshire RM English are having a “grand depart” of their own. The York based branch of the land and estate agents are on the move to brand new premises. After more than a decade in New Street they have now opened the doors to bigger and brighter offices in bustling Castlegate.
It is the first in a planned series of changes that promises to make this a ground-breaking year for RM English. For not only are they growing their York business – and adding young and enthusiastic new staff to the team - but they are simultaneously expanding their London operation to market Yorkshire properties directly to buyers in the capital.
Managing Director Sandra Mapplebeck says: “This is going to be a very exciting time for us and our customers, old and new,as we take a series of steps to expand our brand.”
“The move to Castlegate will give us a good base for that expansion. We will have considerably more front of office space to display our properties in attractive surroundings in a busy area of the city with a lot of footfall.”“We will also have a new-look team with some very bright young people joining to help make the changes.”
“And we plan to capitalise on the popularity of Yorkshire with southern buyers by providing a shop window for our properties directly through our London office.”
These moves, Sandra stresses, are only the first in a series of brand-expanding plans for the year ahead and which will include at least two further major new ventures. But plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose (well, we are in Tour de France land) the more things change the more they stay the same…
Sandra adds: “Some things definitely won’t change. We will very much be retaining those special touches that make RM English that bit different from other agents.”
“We will still be taking on the challenge of those unique, different, charming, characterful and outright quirky properties for which we have become so well known.”
“And we will still be providing that very individual, personal, service to our clients which has people coming back to us time and again.”
