Interiors specialist Peter Thompson of York hosted a fundraising lunch with a difference as the company bid farewell to its current showroom. Adam Jackson, chef and owner of The Park in Sutton-on-the-Forest, cooked up a storm in the demonstration kitchen before inviting everyone to join him at his nearby restaurant to sample the dishes.

The event, compered by Yorkshire Life food and drink consultant Annie Stirk, was organised to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and to mark a new beginning for Peter Thompson – work began on knocking down the showroom as soon as the guests left to make way for a new display space and offices.
