Two annual highlights for the Brailsford & District Ploughing and Hedgecutting Society are its dinner dance, which took place earlier this year at Burton Albion’s football stadium, and each autumn the Ploughing Match
As ever, the dinner dance proved a popular and highly enjoyable evening with a raffle that raised funds in aid of the ploughing match. An ever-growing number of people flock to the Brailsford Ploughing Match, which this year – the 109th – took place on Wednesday 1st October at Park Nook Farm, The Common, Quarndon, Derby by kind invitation of Kedleston Estate and hosted by the Smith family.
