The autumn edition of Bride: The Wedding Show at Westpoint Exeter is set to take place on October 7-8, welcoming more than 160 South West suppliers.
Featuring bridal boutiques, cakemakers, photographers, florists, stationers, transport providers, catering companies, venues and more, the biannual event will bring together all the components couples need to plan a wedding – all under one roof.
There will be goody bags, free magazines, show-exclusive deals, discounts and competitions, as well as a jam-packed entertainment schedule in the café area – hosted by Posh Nosh. Superstition Band, Blue Lion Band, I Love Amp and Double A & The Bay will all be taking to the stage to serenade the crowds, while showcasing their services in wedding entertainment.
The catwalk show is a must-see, running at three times during each day: 11.30am, 1.15pm and 3pm. Offering inspiration and ideas amid a fun and vibrant atmosphere, the show will leave guests feeling energised. This season’s shows will feature dresses from Prudence Gowns, Sassi Holford, The Ivory Secret and Kate Walker Bridal; bridesmaids’ dresses from Jane’s of Torquay; and menswear from Youngs Hire and Moss Bros.
Karen Friend of Tiverton, Devon, visited last year’s show as a bride-to-be with her three friends. She said: “We watched the catwalk together and it was really good fun. We had such a laugh.”
If that wasn’t enough, there will be a marquee of wedding transport, delicious ice cream samples from the Cowlick Creamery and catering ideas from new exhibitors, Rusty Pig and Just Gin.
Kelly Purchase, owner of plus-size bridal boutique, Brides With Curves in Wimborne – a returning exhibitor, says: “Westpoint is our number one bridal show. The whole event is first-class and we always have a very successful weekend.
