An open-air Shakespeare performance is set to delight audiences under the stars this summer.
The gardens at Arundel Castle will be transformed for an outdoor production of As You Like It on August 21 and 22.
Staged in the Earl’s Garden by the touring theatre company Illyria, the show will form part of a memorable opening to the Arundel Festival of the Arts.
Andrew Lewis, castle manager at Arundel Castle, said: "We are delighted to be able to welcome audiences back to the Earl’s Garden as part of the Arundel Festival of the Arts 2026.
"International, award-winning Illyria has an enviable reputation for excellence, forged from over three decades of experience as a touring theatre.
"Their performances of As You Like It promise to offer visitors a memorable night of sparkling wit, laughter and romance under the stars, all within the truly magical setting of the Castle gardens."
As You Like It follows four romantic pairs as they navigate love and identity in the Forest of Arden.
The performance will start at 7.30pm, with the grounds open from 6pm for picnics.
Seating will open at 6.45pm.
The show is suitable for ages eight and above and runs for around two hours and 20 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.
