This summer, Newquay Zoo will play host to a trio of unique after-hours guided tour events. Titled the Fearsome Feasts, these events will allow you to meet the keepers and find out all there is to know about your favourite animals.

The events take place out of hours and will give attendees the chance to experience Newquay Zoo’s primates, big cats and bird departments up close.

We are really excited to open our doors for the Fearsome Feasts events, we believe that these three events will really give people an insight into what we do here and the real characters that our animals can be,’ said Owen Taylor, Senior Keeper.

Primates and Pasties, the first in the trio, will take place on Wednesday 17th May. It will begin with a guided tour of the primate department, allowing you to get inside knowledge from the keepers. This will be followed by a presentation from zoological experts on the behaviours of Newquay Zoo’s animals, as well as the charity’s involvement in conservation projects in the wild. After the presentation, audience members will be given the opportunity to feed the Zoo’s troop of Sulawesi crested black macaques before returning to the café for a hot pasty and raffle which will include some exclusive animal experiences.
